COMMUNITY OF ST. FRANCIS FIRST FRIDAY TAIZE GROUP WITH GUARDIAN ANGEL

On the first Friday of the month (except January when we gather on New Year's Day) several members of the Community of St. Francis gather with hundreds of people in the Chicago area gather for vespers in the spirit and style of the Taize community. It is an ecumenical worship opportunity, and the focus is Christian unity, reconciliation among all peoples, and peace--in ourselves, in our families, in our communities, and among nations. This takes place at 7:30 pm Ascension Roman Catholic Church, 808 S East Ave, Oak Park, IL. If you have never been before, seriously consider this wonderful way of centering and feeling connected to God's creation. (And for the look and sound of this experience, CLICK HERE. If you are interested in joining a group of us for dinner before, we will meet about 5:15 at Winberie's in Oak Park: 151 N Oak Park Ave (corner of Oak Park and Lake). Please let me know if you plan to break bread with us and we'll make certain we have reservations for enough people. Call 773-720-1040.
